What a nice site to find! I must say, I myself, tend to not give much credence to Christian fiction. I really don't believe it can be done correctly, so I pass those tables in the Christan Bookstore. After reading the stuff on your site, I may have to amend my concept on this. Thanx.

I have to say that I was thrilled to find the Christian Fiction Review site when I did a Google search. This is just what I've been looking for! Thanks for the interview, Mike and Tim - it was very thought-provoking :)

Excellent interview, Mike and Tim. I'm grateful we do have reviewers of Christian fiction who are able to write completely honest reviews. The best reviewers for the job in my opinion aren't necessarily ones trying to get their own manuscripts made into novels.

Thanks for what you do for Christian fiction...both of you!

"But in between all your reading, feel free to breathe some fresh air, walk barefoot through cool grass and fritter the night away at your local Starbucks with back to back Frappacinos."

Hilarious!

i do find it interesting that two of the five choices of must reads are lotr and peretti.

they are classics, hard to beat. but schaap does a good job in my opinion. i don't read much christian fiction because i can't get past the first page, unless i'm editing. which is another issue entirely.

blessings,
suz.

Wow . . . thanks for this insight, guys! I have so little time for fun, including reading for pleasure, that I've kinda lost touch with fiction on any level. However, I look forward to a time when my life becomes more balanced . . . and it will be nice to have a place to go to weed out what I would like to spend my time reading and what I would not.

I glanced thru the site . . . personally, it would be nice if there were also a category division that focused on the type or subject or even the intensity of a book - if any of that makes sense - as well as author and title. Sometimes I simply want something light to read, and other times I would like something with a lot of depth to read. Would be nice if I could easily find such books with a simple search, even if there were overlap in some categories.
