This Site is 63% Masculine

That according to Gender Analyzer.  It uses Artificial Intelligence to determine if a homepage is written by a man or woman. And all this time the feministsgender-analyzer had me believing that, other than plumbing, there’s no real differences between the genders. Okay, so it pegged me, for the most part, as a man. I’m just wondering about the other 37% of my site that qualifies me as a female.

Partly out of spite, I took the liberty of running some of my friends’ websites through the Analyzer. I’m not naming any names, but it’s a bit disconcerting learning that some of my female readers are more masculine than me. You go… girl?

Anyway, it got me thinking – Is it advantageous to be more “gender neutral”? I mean, being that more women read than men, perhaps aiming for a 50% rating is smart. You know, more frills, emotions, romance, and Oprah. Think again! Next week I’m beginning a series on How to Shave Using a Straight-edged Blade, The Ten Best Crescent Wrenches, and Tips for Toning That Beer Belly. How’s that for masculine!?

It’s probably your literacy factor and articulate expression that put you in the moderately masculine category. ;)

Did you do mine? I’m afraid to ask!

This was hilarious! I got 92% masculine. My husband begs to differ.
