Duran Clan ’06

Who needs Christmas gifts when you have a family like this? I’m constantly amazed — and shall be for all eternity — at God’s grace to me.

A year-end update for anyone interested in (or befuddled by) the Duran clan. From left:

Jon’s an EMT, working the night shift, on his way toward becoming a fireman. Still hot and heavy with his gal, Tricia, who has patiently endured Jon’s monthly hissy fits.

Alayna’s one year out of high school, working at Stater Bros., attending a community college and running up her phone bill. (Holla!) She’s still waiting for Prince Charming and, with her standards, she’ll be waiting for a while. Boys are trouble anyway, right?

Melody and Jacob (a real beefy boy), work with family friends and real estate moguls, Mike and Irma Nunez. More importantly, Melody’s expected to introduce Theodore to the world next month.

Chris recently received his BA in Math from CSUSB and has begun his trek toward a Masters. (But he still can’t do Sudoku.) After crunching compatibility stats, he’s decided to put any love interests on hold. Girls are trouble anyway, right?

Lisa (dream babe lounging on the lawn), continues to bark orders at the Fohi cafeteria and hound the local Curves staff. And Mike (not pictured) signed a contract with Janet Grant of Books and Such Literary Agency, who is currently shopping his first book to wary editors. He remains an insomniac, laboring away on his second book, pummelling the slovenly hacks on the Decompose staff toward mediocrity.

So, from the Duran clan: Have a blessed Christmas and a wonderful new year. Extend grace and lay off the eggnog. We love you all!
