Just learned that my first novel The Resurrection has made the 2011 INSPY Shortlist in the Speculative Fiction category. The INSPY’s were created last year by bloggers who recognized “the need for a new kind of book award… to discover and highlight the very best in literature that grapples with expressions of the Christian faith.” Some fantastic books and authors are in the Spec category, like The Charlatan’s Boy by Jonathan Rogers, The Falling Away by T.L. Hines, and The Skin Map by Stephen Lawhead. Other INSPY nominees include Stephen James, Mark Bertrand, and Brandylin Collins. Needless to say, I’m honored. And a shout-out is in order to fellow WordServe clients Kimberly L. Smith, Jody Hedlund, and Cathy West. Congratulations to all the nominees!
