It’s a Wrap!

Okay, so I’m wrapping up 2007 with some miscellaneous items.

First off, I’m up at Novel Journey with a post entitled Best of the Bizarre: Edition 07. It’s a twist on the usual Best of lists so prolific in cyberspace, tallying some of the year’s best non-traditional lists. I started the series last year (find Edition 06 HERE) and I think I’ll make it a regular year-end feature. Anyway, drop by Gina’s site and leave me a comment.

2007 was a great year for Decompose. According to Bluehost, my Unique Visitors have quadrupled in less than a year. The traffic has pushed me into the upper half of the TTLB Blogosphere Ecosystem. Huzzah! Along those lines, my stat counters reveal that my top five most viewed posts of 2007 (in random order) were:

I betcha can’t guess which one of these was THE most viewed post of 2007.

Two series have got a lot of linkage and I’m thinking about making them part of my sidebar options:

Letting Kids Make Their Own Choices Pt. 1, Pt. 2, and Pt. 3
and
What is Christian Art #1, #2, #3

Why these two series drew such interest, I’m unsure. However, both represent topics that are beginning to define what this site is about, as well as the type of readership apparently gravitating this way.

Anyway, I just wanted to take a minute at the end of 2007 to say how blessed I am for those of you who have taken time to read and comment on my stuff — Janet, Ame, Nicole, Dayle, Mark, Mark D. (good meeting you!), Heather Goodman, Becky Miller, Linda Gilmore, my kids: Melody, Chris, and Alayna. (JD will get around to reading his Dad’s website in ’08, I just know it), Jacob, Matty, Jason (both of you), GerM, Jeanne Damoff, Michelle Pendergrass, Mike Ehret, Elaina Avalos, Michael Snyder, and I know I’m missing someone. Thank you all, so much, for being part of my sojourn.

Blessings to you in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ. You have a beautiful family, Mike.

None of this surprises me :). You are a man of character, integrity, excellence and authenticity, and it can not help but bleed through your words (okay, had ta use “bleed” as you’re into all that “horror!”).

Love the family pic – Theo’s certainly the star!

    Okay – I’ll guess – Office Digs – Phase I?

btw – Melody, this is the most beautiful and confident picture your dad has posted of you out here … you look settled into who you are … peaceful … sure of yourself … and a great Momma :).

    Great family picture, Mike.

The obvious one is “Atheist”, but I’ll guess “C.S. Lewis” because of the interest potential of having the words: Christian and C.S. Lewis in the same search string.

It’s the Gamers Gospel. Thanks for the mention too!

The most viewed page on my site last year was Cosmetic Culture . I’ve been unable to track down a link, so I have no idea where all the visitors are coming from and why this subject (specifically the Goth stylistic subculture) is so intriguing.

So, do you think being from SoCal had any influence on both of us including the word “wrap” as part of the title for our year-end post? 😉

At least I’ll be able to say that I read your blog “back when” LOL. Back before it was MikeDuran.com even. 🙂

I’ve been out of town, just now trying to catch up. Amazing how many emails and blogs there are to read after a week of being gone.
